Garden Paths...

When you are designing your garden, don't forget your garden paths. Paths usually lead to a focal point like a garden area, building, gazebo, plant, water feature or what ever you have of interest that you want to share or enjoy.

Paths can be made of brick, stone, gravel, wood or even grass. The choice is all yours.
Garden Tip: Plan your element of surprise at the end of your path!

Knock Out Roses Are Blooming...

The Knock Out Roses are still blooming. That is one reason I love that little rose. They just keep giving and giving and giving. Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with the Knock Out rose.

Welcome Fall 2009

Welcome... Fall 2009 and to the launching of the Home Garden Guides blog.

There is always something new happening in the garden even when the fall and winter seasons arrive. Gardens go on whether they are planted or not... there is life. There are plants, and there are animals, worms and bugs. They may be in hibernation, but they are there. We'll discuss some of these things as we go along. Hopefully, my guides will help you with your gardening projects and encourage you to design, plan and try new things as well as solve any gardening issues that may arise.

So for now, Welcome to Home Garden Guides and thanks for stopping in.
